Setup
While only a Philips screwdriver was required, setup of the Kolcraft Overland Limited Jogger took 43 minutes and was tortuous. Instruction text and photos were poor. Several steps were very difficult. The stopping brake cable could not be adjusted to fully stop the wheels, and attaching the footrest was difficult. The supplied air pump could not be fit to the air valves due to spoke interference. Two people might reduce the setup time, but better instructions and better hardware designs are needed.
Securing children, and Safety
Placing a child in the stroller is easy although the tray latch is hard to locate. The harness is hard to fasten, and buckling can pinch the fingers. Unbuckling requires excessive force.
Transport
At nearly 29 lbs and big, this stroller is harder to move in and out of a vehicle.
Folding
The locking/unlocking latch is color-coded and easy to find. The unit is easy to fold and easier to unfold.
Child-friendly features
- Footrest for child
- Roomy reclining seat with padded back
- Padded harness straps
- Smooth ride
- CD/DV/Tape holder (kids love music on the move)
- Canopy unzips at back to block low sun; see-through window has cover flap
- Plastic windscreen
- One cup holder and tray
Performance and features
- Padded handlebar with great height adjustment (30-41.5”)
- Handbrake (semi-functional)
- Rear shock absorbers
- storage basket
- Two cup-holders and 3 mesh pouches
The Kolcraft Overland Limited Jogger performs very well only on straight paths. It was difficult to raise the front end over curbs, and since its front wheel does not pivot, turning is very hard. To turn the stroller, the adult has to press down on the handle bar and lift the front wheel off the ground. Considerable strength is needed to perform this maneuver. The stroller readily and consistently tipped in our quick emergency turn test. It also exhibited a tendency to tip over across steep terrain. This is due to its relatively high center of gravity. Therefore caution is advised in these areas.
The ride is comfortable over moderate bumps and rougher surfaces. The handlebar is padded and, its 30-41.5” range is the best of all the strollers tested. Pressing a pedal at each of the back wheels sets the parking brake.
Design
This stroller has nice aesthetics.

You are right… i got this stroller and loved it out of the box. It was easier to use when my son was very small and lighter. But as he got older and heavier, his weight make it very hard to turn the stroller. I can not recommend this, look for a stroller with wheels that turn.
