Full Review

Setup 4 stars -- Great

At 13 minutes, the Kolcraft Jeep All-Weather stroller was one of the fastest. It required no tools but could be improved by better instructions.

Securing children, and Safety 3 stars -- Good

Placing a child in the seat is easy, and the canopy slides up for increased headroom. Adjusting the harness is easy and releasing the buckle is very easy.

Transport 5 stars -- Outstanding

At 10 lbs, this is one of the lightest and easiest strollers to carry and load.

Folding 2.5 stars -- Good

Folding the stroller is sometimes hampered by the harness, and by the canopy which can rack or pop from its railing. Unfolding is a done by lifting up and then pressing on color-coded tabs with arrows showing the direction of the movements which is a bit awkward at first.

Child-friendly features 2 stars -- Flawed

  • Footrest
  • Good harness comfort
  • Handles taller children
  • Canopy adjusts for height, and rotates down to block low sun

Performance and features 3 stars -- Good

  • Two side pouches
  • One cup-holder
  • Very light weight

The handles are padded and not adjustable. They are angled in a way that may cause fatigue over long periods, especially for taller people. Its light weight makes it very easy to push and turn in town (not on trails). It is stable and easily taken over curbs, and it does handle sidewalk “lips”. It has significant sway during emergency turns, and some risk of tip-over across steep terrain. It is difficult to steer or push on heavy grass, pebbles, or beaches. The ride is comfortable only over smooth and level surfaces.
The parking brakes are set at each rear wheel by pressing color-coded levers down or up to lock and unlock.

Design 2 stars -- Flawed

Like other light-weight strollers, the Kolcraft Jeep All-Weather tends to sway or wobble when turning. The umbrella canopy slides up and down for height, but the clips on can sometimes pop out of their railing.
